War On Crime

The rooms that can be opened show signs that someone may have been squatting there at one point or that previous occupants left most if not all of their belongings behind, but no one's waving a gun at them or anything, so the first floor seems clear.

Azuma: "What about sound?"

*Eve heads over to Specter*

Eve:<This floor is clear.>

*Luna pulls out her spear, but keeps it shortened & in an ice pick grip. She moves up the stairs with her arms in a defensive position.*

*Ven...listens harder, I guess. Perks her ears or something, I dunno.*

The staircase leads up to a hallway with many doors, some open, some closed, some even boarded shut. None of the open doors have any light coming from them to indicate anyone may be in there, but it could also be a result of the building having no power.

There's the helicopter outside of course, maybe the breathing of the two she's with, I don't know how good her hearing is, someone sneezing and some faint crying that she'd have to strain herself to hear. Assuming her hearing is that good anyways.

*Eve follows behind Luna, on constant alert for incoming danger*

V"There's sneezing & crying in that direction."

*She points to wherever is applicable.*

*Luna creeps along the hallway, peering into the open doors & looking for shadows under the closed ones.*

Azuma: "Probably the hostage."

He creeps down the hall, peering into open doors, the sights being pretty gross as some of the squatters either died there or didn't want to use the bathroom, assuming there even is one.

Around a corner, there are some open doors, a Tyranno Boy partially visible in one. He sneezes.

Luna gets similar sights as Azuma did, probably grateful for her mask which does nothing about the sights. Ahead some talking can be heard.

Tyranno Boy: "Man, when they just gon' flush the kid, so we can head out? Ain't like those coppers gon' check the sewers."

Tyranno Boy: "Don't tell me you're getting billy on me, man. Those cops come in we'll wreck 'em pop pop pop."

V"(So what do we do?)"

L"(So here's the plan: We freeze time, take them down, & stuff them in a closet or something.)"

*Eve nods, then closes her eyes and freezes time around the gangsters*

Azuma: "Get in close and clock him with one hit. Hopefully."

Mimiru: "Hopefully."

Nothing stopping them from doing whatever now.

V"What kind of plan is that?"

*Luna begins disarming the frozen asshole.*

L"Anyone have something I can use to tie him up?"

*Eve is too busy concentrating to say anything*

Azuma: "The only one I got. Spook's the one with the utility belt, so if I got a plan of your own, I'm open to suggestions."

"You're supposed to be the ones with experience, what is this BULLSHIT?!"

*As the stress makes her voice rise in volume, she roars the last part, the sound wave blasting the Tyranno Boy. Since it's said that she can demolish stone, pretty sure he's out. Ven massages her throat after probably blowing out the duo's ear drums.*

"What just happened?"

*She looks for a closet or something to stuff him into.*

*Eve still remains silent*

Azuma: "We normally don't skulk around and it looks like we won't be doing that this time either."

Because someone has a big mouth, they can all hear some cussing and overall confusion over something roaring like a dinosaur and a couple Tyranno Boys come running down the hall, packing heat.

Mimiru pushes Ven through an open door while Azuma teleports behind the Tyranno Boys knocking their heads together which doesn't knock them out, the wall behind where the three were takes a mess of shot.

There's a closet full of lots of waste of the organic and inorganic variety. They can also hear a gunshot above them.

Eve:<Knock...h-him out...>

*Luna tases him because apparently that will work even though time has been saved in a bottle.*

"We can't just run & hide, we have to do something!"

*Suddenly a 2nd Ven appears at the door. They vanish, only for the real Ven to drop from the ceiling onto the Tyranno Boys' backs, slashing their guns with claws like iron.*

*Eve unfreezes time*

Outside, Artemis can see the muzzle flash of guns through the windows while down below, police begin to advance on the building, pulling back when from another window, gunfire rains down upon them.

The three of them can hear gunfire from above them.

We all saw that Mythbusters episode about a sword being unable to cut through a machine gun barrel and that was a steel blade.

The Tyranno Boy with the shotgun attempts to raise their weapon only for Azuma to push it down to the floor, the Tyranno Boy screaming when they shoot themself in the foot, dropping the gun.

Azuma punching him in the face and pushes him into the other one that's trying to push Ven back, to fill her up with hot lead before stabbing that one in the shoulder with an icicle which makes their job a lot harder.

Eve:<Are you ready to head up?!>

L"Hold on."

*She shoves the asshole in the closet & tries to lock it.*

L"Try to get rid of the guns & ammo if you can."

*Ven jerks to the side & screams in their faces at half strength, not wanting to kill them.*

*Artemis engages her communicator thing, looking around.*

Art"The cops are trying to move in on the building, but they're getting shot at from the windows. I'll see if I can find a way to use a smoke arrow on them without giving away my position."

Aro"I...think that would be fine...."

*Eve gingerly heads over to wherever the ammo is, and then dumps it out a window or something*

Jin continued to act entirely passively, having not kicked any frozen people in the head out of fear of knocking it off of their shoulders, and feeling more than a bit out of her depth.

Hopefully Artemis has binoculars as that'd be a good thing to see what's going on in there.

That's one down, while the one missing a foot is grovelling and crying. Mimiru comes in with a heavy boot and that's that.

Ven should be able to hear the cry of a child on the floor below.

The gunfire from the floor above ceases and given how awful the place is, they can hear the faint cries of a child up above.
