*Euryale tries to hit him with a big cable while he's distracted, but he sees it & deflects it, knocking out part of the bannister.*

Mortal punches up a few blasts of fire.

Noctis tries to stop the man from moving and snakes a trail of water up the stairs and freezes it around his feet.

*Unable to adequately defend against all of this shit, he gets frozen to the spot, & then blown off his feet by fire blasts, smacking into the wall behind him & then slumping to the floor. As promised, canisters leaking tear gas are thrown into the landing, though there are 4, presumably because the guys up above are over-achievers.*

<Kali! Someone's here, looks like your end of the department!>

*A lithe, armored woman with brunette hair in a ponytail & a badge that identifies her as a Firebender comes & takes a folder from the desk lady.*

Kali<If you'll follow me, then.>

Noct covers, then freezes the nozzles of the tear gas canisters, then tries to brace herself against the tear gas already poured into the hall.

Mortal runs up the stairs, not wanting to deal with tear gas.

E"Careful, you'll run out of water."

*Ven windmills her hands, pulling dust from everywhere, but mostly under the door crack, & then thrusts her fists outward, using it to blow the gas away. Euryale follows Mortal. For their part, 2 of the cops fire their gloves at Mortal in the shape of fists, while a 3rd jumps over them & swings his cables at her, trying to edge her to the wall. Euryale shoots a cable onto the ceiling, then swings around to get behind them. She engages in a fist fight with one, deflecting his punches & then kicking his chest, using Metalbending to break his armor.*

*Meanwhile, the 6th cop kicks down Gabe's door.*

<You're under arrest!>

*Monu follows her*

*Eve sits on her doorstep and waits for backup to arrive*

Gabe drops the dish she began watching, and let out a scream, "What do you mean! You killed my door, what the hell!?"

Mortal creates a wall of fire to block the fists, then ducks the cable, and launches with a sweep an arc of fire to trip the two that shot fists at her.

Noct rushes up the stairs and sees the mayhem going on, and launches a block of ice at the third cop.

*This proves to be a poor idea, as the gloves pass through the fire & smack into her, before twisting around to grab her by the arms. Only now they're burning. The Metalbenders jump over the fire, but one is caught by an ice block & doesn't jump in time. He knocks out the bannister & falls down the stairwell. Now blocking strikes from 2 Metalbenders, Euryale deploys her katars, & her opponents follow suit. Ven blinds one & Euryale grabs him, flipping him over the edge, before blocking katar strikes aimed at her abdomen.*

*He shoots a cable to try to tie Gabe up.*

*She joins with a Metalbender, who takes Monu into an interrogation cell & seals it up. The Metalbender sticks in the corner while Kali heads over, dimming the light a bit.*

Kali<So, what do you have to tell me?>

*Eventually, some cars pass by, one of which stops. A pair of cops, & a pair of Healers get out.*

*Monu shrugs*

Gabe dives out of the way, and tries to make her way over to her room, "Leave me alone! Don't you need a warrant or something!? I didn't do anything!"

Noctis douses the flaming hands while Mortal tries to pry them off of herself.

*They don't want to come off, & attempt to pull her arms up behind her head. The 2 cops who aren't controlling them come running at Noctis, Ven, & Mortal. Euryale is finding her guy difficult to deal with. She relaxes the cable on one hand so that it wraps around his arm & spins him into a wall, only for him to kick her in the chest. She avoids falling only by firing her cables upward & swinging back towards him, kicking away his katar strike.*

*They kind of ignore her. The healers start working on the guy.*

Cop<If he's fine, we'll go after Senthose.>

Healer<Yes, this should be easy enough to fix.>

"Because you're scaring me, and acting strangely!" Gabe said, running into her room, and slamming the door behind her. She looked around and picked up a barbell, sliding the plates off one end, and lifting it, ready to use it like a hammer to hit the cop in the stomach if he raced in after her.

Since Mortal still has her legs, she uses them to send two kicks of fire blasts at the two rushing her.

Noctis launches her block of ice at one of their heads, but is more concerned with looking around and finding who it is that is controlling the gloves so she can get Mortal back into the game.

*Eve crosses her arms, glaring*

*They take the time to duck the blasts. When Ven tries to blind them with dust, one grabs it, turning it into a rock, & propelling it into her diaphragm. She goes down with an "oof." Noctis can see the guy controlling the gloves over his shoulder. The other guy makes a jump kick for Mortal's stomach, but is grabbed out of the air by a cable.*

"Don't touch her!"

*She swings him around, escorting him out of the building by way of breaking the front wall with his face.*

*The other guy kicks the door down & grabs the weapon when it's inevitably swung at him, looking away nonchalantly when he hears the loud crashing noise.*

Noctis breaks her block of ice into thin sheets, and launches them at his eyes. She then leans down to check on Ven, "Are you alright?"

Mortal just kind of hangs there for a second, her womanly bits warm with want.

Gabe uses the distraction and launches a flaming punch directly into the side of his head, hoping to knock him out, or render him dizzy long enough to get another attack in.

Kali<Our records say that you were there on the day she allegedly shot up the place.>

*The cop controlling the gloves ducks, causing a little slack in their grip, but not much. Euryale tries to hit him with a cable, but he stomps, causing it to deflect downwards.*

E"Mortal, look out!"

*The other cop ducks to Mortal's side, in Euryale's blind spot, & aims a punch at her side.*

*They get in the car & take off after Senthose.*

*He ducks, making a sweeping kick at her legs.*

<Please, I'm an elite Metalbender. And I might as well be fighting a book of matches.>

Mortal uses the fact that she is being bound to her advantage, and uses the gloves to keep her in the air as she lifts herself out of the way of the officer, then aims a drop kick at his face.

Noct let out a sigh of relief at Ven's words, then, since she has full control over such things, stops the sheets, and redirects them to slice at the back of his head and neck.

*Outside of her back window, Eve can see an occasional ice spike or fire ball soaring through the air.*

*After being kicked in the face, the assaulter smashes into the wall & falls down. That guy has a helmet on, so he's not seriously injured, but Mortal is released, most likely falling on her ass.*

E"Give it up. You can't win."

*His gloves return to his hands & he raises his fists. Meanwhile, sirens can be heard approaching, & footsteps hammering up the staircase.*

E"Damn non-lethal self-defense. Someone go get Gabby, we need to keep moving!"

*He moves aside, also shielding himself with his hand. Shifting his foot so that he's standing on her clothes, he raises his other foot to stomp down on her.*

*Eve goes over and looks out that window*

<Um, my memory is a bit foggy. I believe Mortal and Euryale chased her away, after Mr. Sidon was shot.>

Gabe grabs his thigh before he can bring his foot down to stomp on her, and tries to push him into the wall, or at least over.

Mortal gets up, and runs down the hall, rubbing her butt slightly, "I'll get her."

Noctis forms her sheets of ice back into a solid block, and tries to hammer into his face.

*Euryale tries not to be distracted by Mortal rubbing her ass. The other cop takes a tumble. Ven backs up the stairs.*

V"Euryale! They're getting closer!"

E"Alright, you guys go with Mortal, I'll catch up!"
