<If they aren't at their apartment I don't know...>

Mortal felt her skin crawl, but when Senthose saved Euryale, she couldn't help but say, "Thank you. Come on, we need to get out of here. If she isn't here then the cops probably already have her locked up somewhere."

Stefan once again shot lightning at a randomly chosen cop.

Eduj sat motionless except for heavy breathing.

*The cop begins tying his upper body with a cable. Outside, Stefan drops a cop, but still ends up with cables pulling each of his limbs taut & a few around his waist.*

*Sure enough, they have to duck a chunk of rock flying at their heads.*

"I feel about half a dozen of them around us! Probably more on the way."

*He turns & points to her.*

Hector and Eduj each struggled against their respective restraints, with probably no effect whatsoever.

Stefan tried to grab any of the cables wrapping about his arms and run more electricity through them, still struggling as though he had hope of escape.

"Well, then lets get out of here before more come," Mortal said.

<Don't you take that tone with me!>

*Not one effect. The cop quickly pulls Eduj out of the ground with 1 hand & shoots a cable around his legs with the other. They can smell smoke in the room, & if they look up, they can even see a cloud of it on the ceiling.*

*Sure enough, 2 of the cops stomp, releasing large boulders from the ground. They raise their hands to break each into 2 pieces.*

*The cops, each sporting twin katars, emerge on to the scene, leaving each hombre tangling with a duo of assholes with bladed arms. Senthose blocks one attacking him & generates a water whip along his blade to swing him into the other one. Euryale pushes her attackers back with Metalbending, but they struggle against it, & are only pushed a few feet away.*

<What exactly do you want me to say? I don't know where they are. Am I done yet?>

Mortal sends out a powerful low sweep creating an arch of flame at the legs of her two aggressors. Using the momentum of the sweep, Mortal spins, and rises slightly sends a spinning kick out to launch a second arch of fire at a slightly higher angle. Still keeping her spinning momentum, launches into a gainer, and angles a jumping kick downward to create one last arch of fire aimed at her enemies.

"You had best hurry up, cop," Hector sniffed. "I'll bet this whole place is about to go up."

Stefan started making his way towards a downed cop, shooting jabs of fire at the ones readying to attack as he ran.

*After Mortal knocks down her enemies with a bunch of fire, Euryale swings a cable to a nearby building.*

"Mortal, grab my hand!"

Senthose<Oh, don't mind me, I'll just find my own way out. But thank you for the invite.>

"Quit whining. I couldn't carry you both even if I wanted to."

*He begins to cable up Hector.*

*They move the rocks in front of them to block the fire. The downed cop is only downed for a second & palm thrusts the ground, causing a chunk of rock to shoot out & strike him in the chest. Astarte begins to stir, of course with terrible head & body aches.*

Mortal grabs her hand.

*Of course, someone starts banging on Gabe's door.*

*Euryale retracts the cable, & they go swinging through the city. Of course, 4 of the police follow. Euryale takes a sudden turn, but it doesn't throw them off. They just detach their cables, reattach them to the buildings lining the alley, & slingshot themselves through it.*

*Tirea nods*

<Yep. I was the one who called you guys that he had shown up. Anyway, he showed up and tried to kill us. We gave him many chances to surrender but he didn't take them. We really didn't have a choice.>

Mortal begins trying to knocking them out of the sky by attacking where they were anchoring themselves with their cables, figuring that hitting such a weirdly swinging target would be hard.

Gabe checks the peep hole to see who it is.

*The flames are able to break the concrete of the buildings, & thus trip them up. In time, they shake them off. Seeing an airship approaching, Euryale lands on a fire escape of an abandoned building, putting Mortal down. Once she does, she elbows the window, smashing it. She clears the glass shards away with her armored hands & begins climbing through.*

"We're still pretty far from Noct's. How are we going to get there?"

*Not really clear. There's some Equalist propaganda on the ground, along with rocks, torn up muddy ground, & pieces of wood, but there's no one in sight.*

Stefan fell back and landed on the pavement before quickly rolling back to a half-standing position. He put his hands together, palms facing forwards, and thrust them towards the grounded cop to loose a stream of fire at them. Astarte looked around as she came back to conciousness, feeling more and more ill as she pieced together her surroundings and the situation.

Hector went quiet while being wrapped up.

*Still no one.*

*The police start dropping big rocks on him. The cop holding Astarte cables her up & drops tosses her away. Inside, the other cop claps & then thrusts his palm out, smashing Hector & Eduj forcefully together, & then smashing them through the wall. They emerge on the other side of the house.*

"I'm not too sure," Mortal said, "We could try the sewer system again, but we'd probably just get lost... I'm also guessing a taxi would be a bit too conspicuous."

Gabe had a flashback to the cop that handled the Aamon situation, and frowned. Feeling a lot less charitable to a cop who wasn't Mortal or Euryale, especially given what was said earlier in the morning, Gabe asked through the locked door, "Is there something I can help you with, officer?"
