Episode Fourteen: Rain, After the Escape/Data Distortion

R<"Okay--okay, fine!">

*Looking sick, Rosemon reaches out for the sphere. Gallantmon puts her hand on Rosemon's just before she closes her grasp around the jewel.*

*Everyone waits for something to happen*

Sakuyamon's there too.

The jewel glows brighter as Rosemon touches it and soon vanishes, Rosemon feeling stronger and rejuvenated.

From the hallway, a portal opens up, a SkullMammothmon stepping out. Rosemon hears the words Bust Mode Initiate in a digitized female voice.

*Rosemon's jewel glows, shooting more jewels out around it. Not liking where this is going, Gallantmon tries to pull Rosemon away.*

R<"No...I think it's okay.">

*The glowing of the various gems intensifies, being absorbed by her mantle as the color of her flowery parts is stripped away & more flowers form in her hair.*

G<"What--what is it?">

R<"She called it 'Burst Mode.'

G<"A burst of what? Power?">

R<"Power from love, courage, & purity, all focused inward. At least, that's what I believe made this possible. Thank you both so much.>

*She puts an arm around them briefly, before allowing Gallantmon to turn to the monster.*

R<"I won't reject your help, but save your energy. I want to repay you.">

Dianamon:<Are you sure you don't want our help?>

*She takes aim at the SkullMammothmon's skull*

The creature bellows as I do not know what sound elephants make and charges, ready to plow everyone in its path down.

OOC: It's generally described as trumpeting.

*Rosemon Burst fires several of the crystals at the beast. Gallantmon heeds her words & hangs back.*

*Ornismon, Raijimon, and Dianamon hang back, ready to step in if necessary*

OOC: I will keep that in mind for the future. Awaaaaay!

Those not Rosemon step back to avoid being barreled into. SkullMammothmon shields the DigiCore with its face and legs, grunting or something, its speed decreasing before coming to a halt and beginning to spin rapidly, firing a vertebrae at Rosemon.

*Gallantmon stands in front of Rosemon Burst to shield her with the shield. They then charge forward, Gallantmon attempting to pin it down with the lance because I want Rosemon Burst to finish this off with Charity.*

*Dianamon steps forward to help, but Raijimon grabs her arm*

Raijimon:<Let them handle it.>

SkullMammothmon charges back, a lot faster than its initial charge. It slams into the barrier projected by Sakuyamon's Talisman Sphere, rearing up and exposing the DigiCore.

*Gallantmon stabs it in the face & swipes its foot out from under it. Moving from behind her, Rosemon presses her fingers to her lips & blows a laser kiss into the DigiCore, while extending her aura over it, enshrouding it & hopefully obliterating it.*

*Dianamon glares at Raijimon, then fires an Arrow of Artemis at the core if Rosemon's attack fails to kill it*

The core cracks and bursts in a bright flash while the body dissolves into data.

Now it's back to traversing stairs.

*Yay.*

G<"So...what exactly is Burst Mode? You look amazing, by the way.">

R<"Thank you! I'm not really sure.">

Raijimon:<Your increase in strength should help since...>

*They stop abruptly and head off towards the nearest set of stairs. Dianamon shrugs at the others*

Nearest flight of stairs is vague as there are stairs pretty much everywhere, but let's say they take one anyways. Now they're walking sideways, the walls and floors appearing almost staticy and distorted. Maybe a sign they're getting close.

*They continue walking, Raijimon now in the lead*

Their walking brings them to a narrow walkway that's twisted in the center while all around them are stairs that have begun to be pulled into each other like a whirlpool. Much like before, they're flanked by Devitamamon.

*Ornismon swipes at the one behind them with his wings, going to send it into the abyss. Raijimon attempts to knock the other one off with lightning, and their efforts are assisted by Dianamon's arrows*

*Rosemon Burst tries to trip the other with her whip while Gallantmon shield-rams it, for the same reason.*

Devitamamon's shell says no which it then bursts from, grabbing Gallantmon, biting them. They fall for the same ploys.

Sakuyamon flies around the two, and drops like lightning with a kick to the monster.

The other Devitamamon emerges from its shell, grabbing on to Ornismon's wings, tearing at them.Magnadramon flies around, spitting Hermit Fog to dissolve part of the shell which SlashAngemon attacks with Heaven's Ripper, weakening the shell a little more.

*Ornismon flaps his wings in an attempt to get the stupid thing off. Dianamon uses Crescent Harken on the one attached at Gallantmon, in an attempt to kill it to commit suicide, while Raijimon shocks it with lightning*

*It would have had to bite Gallantmon's shield, so she just swings it in the direction of motion of Sakuyamon's kiss, intent on dropping it into the abuss anyway. Rosemon Burst turns & laser-kisses the other if she can get a good line of sight on it without accidentally hitting anyone else.*
