OOC: I could not find any instance of IRL fire being used to clear a way for a tunnel, or to remove rock. Not counting explosions, which doesn't count. Personally, I believe this to be due to fire, in its raw form, regardless of how it is being propelled, not being good for clearing away rock.

Mortal shakes her head, "There isn't anything I could do to clear away the rock that you couldn't do one hundred times easier. I'd probably just get in the way, and heat up the rocks." As she was talking she began to help clear away the pebbles.

OOC: Explosions do count, because Firebenders can do that. Speaking of, that's the difference. Flamethrowers need fuel, Firebenders do not. Flamethrowers can't really focus fire into a fine point, Firebenders can. Flamethrowers can't knock someone away, Firebenders can. And so on.

*One way or another, they eventually break through into a dark room.*

"I have no idea where we are, is this Noct's basement?"

Hearing someone nearby, Stefan started calling out for the guards.

The panicked cries of female voices can scarcely be heard over the rattling of chains, "Please! I don't know how long we've been here!"

"Maybe?" Mortal said, illuminating the room, which was practically empty, with a small torch from her hand.

Noct looked at her basement door, "What reason would an angry spirit have to attack? I didn't kill any wildlife."

OOC: Gonna save that for the next time we argue over whether or not Noctis comes off as a rapist.

"I don't know. You must have done something. Oh God, they're coming up the stairs!"

Noct steps between the door and Ven, while making a small dagger from the liquid kept in her flask, "Who is there?"

"Mortal and Euryale, don't be alarmed," Mortal called out, hearing them through the door.

"What in the world are you doing in my basement?" Noctis asked.

"I want a Healer! Just for a minute, damn it!"

OOC: Sarcasm never helps.

E"There looks to be a rather substantial rogue element within the Force. We think they're going around arresting our friends, so we're trying to get to them first. To do that, we tunneled into your basement."

V"How do we know you're not just spirits using their voices, hm?"

"And no water! She hasn't even come out of the foetal position since we came in here anyway."

"You'll just have to trust us I guess," Mortal said.

Noctis shrugged, and put away her ice dagger, "How are the others?"

"You're really the only ones we've managed to actually get to so far," Mortal admitted.

*And so Euryale finally opens the door. Ven puts up her dukes, & Euryale raises an eyebrow.*

E"We were kind of hoping that you could help us get around. We left the car behind. There was no time to get to it, & if they knew we were in it...well, Metalbenders."

V"So? Aren't you a Metalbender?"

E"I can't out-Bend a whole group. Besides, Kane isn't like any other Earthbender I've seen. He easily overpowered my Bending, & somehow he took a lightning bolt to the chest with no effect. I never knew he had these kinds of skills, he must have been hiding them."

"That sounds alarming," Noctis said.

"Very, but at least we made it to you guys on time," Mortal said with a smile.

*Eve pays and heads out of the Jasmine Dragon*
