Old Ones Return (IV)

Angemon, Angewomon, and Renamon take flight, the angels carrying their partners.

Strikedramon essentially being on fire tackles Arbormon and begins clawing its face.

*Bakemon dodges, & claws at his hand. Doing the herky jerky did nothing, & the armor becomes more cracked, & dented. Arbormon hurls Strikedramon with his extendo-arms, smashing him into a nearby building, essentially destroying the upper floor.*

*As the bubbles rise up, the larger Digimon are under threat of being hit by them. When they hit the floating rocks, said rocks are enveloped, & dissolve without a trace. The red mass grows from this, & continues floating higher. Up above, they hear the faint sounds of battle.*

*Saberdramon digivolves to Karatenmon*

Cameron:<You guys hear that?>

*Lyra uses Thor's Hammer, which Gladimon then uses to smash Bakemon*

Azuma: "Sounds like trouble."

Strikedramon pushes itself off the building and attacks with Darkness Wave.

*Bakemon evades by grabbing onto its hand & claws away. One of Arbormon's arms iis sheared off, so it retracts its other & fires another bomb.*

*MetalGreymon drags its claw through the wall, dropping rocks in the way of the D-Reaper sludge so that it doesn't have to de-digivolve. When they fly out of the canyon, they it's to find Andromon & GrapLeomon camped out on either side of the canyon, facing off against a hoard of modified Giromon & Gigadramon. Andromon's missiles chase around the Giromon, destroying them before they can reach their targets. GrapLeomon does a spinning attack, which repels the Gigadramon around him as he heads to Myotismon. Myotismon is not fool enough to allow himself to be hit, so he activates his teleporter & lashes out with Crimson Lightning, which GrapLeomon kicks away. Another group of Gigadramon is closing in around Andromon, who activates his energy blade.*

Angemon & Angewomon set their partners down, the former Digivolving before going off to support Andromon.

Hideki slashes the Knight's Device card. Strikedramon intercepts Arbormon's attack with another Darkness Wave then rushes forward with the lance.

*Karatenmon sets down Cameron before joining Grapleomon, using Feather Flare on Myotismon*

*Gladimon tries to shake Bakemon off before smashing it again*

*The Megidramon fire countless organic missles while the Giromon throw their bombs. Myotismon also adds Grisly Wing. So now everyone has a bunch of bombs & bats converging on them. Wizardmon attempts to erect a shield, but it doesn't last very long, so MetalGreymon shields her with his metal parts.*

*Both of the Digimon are destroyed. Once again, they hear sirens approaching.*

MagnaAngemon opens up Heaven's Gate to take in the missiles and bats while Angewomon fires a Holy Arror at Myotismon.

Renamon Digivolves on up to Taomon and hurls shuriken like seals at Myotismon.

And like criminals, they bugger off.

*Karatenmon counters with Feather Flare*

*Gladimon dedigivolves and is grabbed by Lyra, who follows Hideki*

*They almost bowl over Tsune, Gomamon in her arms, who steps out of the way.*

T"What the Hell are you doing?! I've been hearing crashes & explosions from around here for the past 2 days!"

*Really only the bombs heading in MagnaAngemon's & Angewomon's general direction are taken into the gate, so everyone else just gets bombarded. Myotismon holds out one hand, shooting a black energy into GrapLeomon that envelopes him & petrifies him. With the other hand, he grabs the Holy Arrow. Using it, he stabs GrapLeomon right in the chest, & follows up with a Crimson Lightning. The statue explodes into chunks, & the chunks into data, which Myotismon absorbs without a second thought.*

Myotismon<Who wants to be next?>

*With a great effort, MetalGreymon raises his upper body, firing missiles at him. Andromon lets out a garbled wail & tries to jump across the canyon towards him. Both are batted away by a Crimson Lightning. Below MetalGreymon, Wizardmon has Digivolved to LadyDevimon, who hits Myotismon in the chest with eye lasers, knocking him back a step with an "oof!"*

Angewomon fires another arrow at Myotismon while he's stumbling. MagnaAngemon draws Excalibur and takes flight, heading for Myotismon.

*Karatenmon also attacks Myotismon while he's stumbling*

Lyra:<Pretty much.>

*A Gigadramon moves in front of Myotismon to shield him, & is promptly destroyed. A group of Giromon swarm in on them as Myotismon grabs MagnaAngemon by the throat, demolishing the Excalibur with a Crimson Lightning.*

Myotismon<Dumbasses! You're not strong enough to destroy me!>

*Meanwhile, MetalGreymon slashes his flaming, unarmored claw at a pair of Megidramon attacking him & LadyDevimon. The latter lets loose with more eye beams, but misses. As Andromon climbs up out of the canyon, Euryale slashes her armor card.*

E"NOW!"

*MetalGreymon extends his claw, which scrapes across Myotismon's arm, destroying his Digivice, much to his shock.*

"Any particular reason why you can't deal with them without destroying half of the city?"

*Sirens.*

*Karatenmon dives around Myotismon, trying to stab him in the back without hitting MagnaAngemon*

Cameron:<Where is my sister you dumb fuck?!>

MagnaAngemon blasts Myotismon with Soul Banish.

Hideki: "They're wild. We have no control over their actions. Why aren't you doing anything?"

Lyra:<Can we talk about this elsewhere?>

*The Giromon around Karatenmon explode, preventing him from ever reaching Myotismon. His body is now mostly gridwire. Myotismon grabs the hand that MagnaAngemon is trying to blast him with, firing a Crimson Lightning to counter it. He then tosses him to the Giromon, who begin digging into him with chainsaws.*

Myotismon<You'll never see her again. I've been sent to remove you all for good. But don't worry, she'll survive you, & go on to do great things for us.>

*LadyDevimon turns one of her arms into a large spike & stabs a Gigadramon in the wing. MetalGreymon then bites its head, ignoring it beating on him with its claws. Its fellows blast him with missiles from behind, dissolving his wings & turning most of his back into exposed gridlines.*

"Whatever, asshole. When you're in jail for killing someone, & that thing--"

*She points to Monodramon.*

"Is off to the trash bin, don't come crying to me."

*She then storms off.*

Taomon blasts the Giromon assaulting MagnaAngemon. When away from them, MagnaAngemon heals himself and Karatenmon.

Angewomon fires an arrow at Myotismon, not too keen on getting near that guy.

And so they depart.

*Cameron uses MetalGarurumon's Blaster, which Karatenmon then uses on Myotismon*

*Lyra sighs and heads off as well*

*A Megidramon tackles Angewomon, causing her to miss wildly. LadyDevimon & Andromon each tackle a Megidramon to keep them away from MetalGreymon. Myotismon plugs up the blaster with bats so that it explodes. Karatenmon starts dissolving into data, but then the data whirls around him, creating a purple "Digi-Egg" that then turns black. When the egg explodes outwards, the remaining Giromon are immediately reverted to data. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] In all of the chaos, Myotismon is hit by MetalGreymon's missiles, & his right shoulder is blown apart, exposing dark gridwork.*

E"Looks like things aren't going so well."

*Myotismon pants briefly, then smiles.*

Senthose<Yeah...but for which one of us, do you think?>

*They end up running past a bakery.*

"Stop following me!"

<Karatenmon?! No...>

*Cameron screams and takes a step forward*

Not you too...

*Velgemon flaps his wings and lands, inspecting the battlefield, but not moving. He looks from Myotismon to the other digimon to the humans, then shrieks*

Angewomon pushes the Megidramon that appears to have come from nowhere replacing the Gigadramon away with Sanits Cross.

MagnaAngemon & Taomon each blast the Digimon with Soul Banish and Bonhitsuen respectively.

Hideki keeps going.

*One Gigadramon is destroyed. Another fires its missiles into Andromon's gun ports, then grabs him & starts dashing him against the rocks. LadyDevimon stabs the one she's attacking, & its skin begins darkening at the point of impact. She jumps away from it now that its moves are slowed, allowing MetalGreymon to douse fire on it until it dissolves. Angewomon & LadyDevimon are both sporting mild wounds from where the red goop touched them. Myotismon doesn't waste time, & fires his paralyzing/petrifying blast directly at Velgemon, while firing black lightning at MetalGreymon & LadyDevimon with his other hand.*

*Tsune gets agitated, & turns around.*

"Look, I don't know what trouble you're getting into, but I want no part of it. So I'm going this way."

*She points down the main street.*

"You 2 find some other way to go."

MagnaAngemon heals Angewomon. Angewomon then fires an arrow at Myotismon while Toamon throws shuriken seals at him.
