Episode Two: The Point of Absolute Zero

E"I don't know that we really have time for that."

Azuma: "Just a thought. Ready?"

Taiyo finally wakes up, yawning and stretching in a feline-like manner.

E"Whenever you are."

A"Urrh...I wa-as hoping it would all be...a bad dream...."

*Aroma rubs her eyes & yawns.*

*Eve stands up and stretches, while Terriermon climbs up to her shoulder. Kylie, Cameron, and their partners are also awake*

Lunamon:<We're ready!>

Eve:<As are we.>

Azuma: "Weird definition of bad dream."

As Euryale is presumably ready to go, Taiyo stuffs her blanket back into her backpack and stands up.

Taiyo: "Um, do you want your jacket back?"

Azuma: "Hold on to it for now."

And so they set off, following the partially covered tracks left over from the kindling search. Should anyone look behind them, they can see a tall mountain some ways away.

IceDevimon stands before a black shrine hidden within its palace. Caged DemiMeramon offer little light, but enough for it to reflect off the polished black stone of the pool IceDevimon stands before.

It reaches in, submerging a hand in the pools black water and stirs until a whirlpool forms.

IceDevimon: "Sinful Priest of the Deep, your servant seeks an audience with you."

Red eyes open at the center of the whirlpool, a deep, gurgled voice comes from it.

Dagomon: "What is it, my messenger?"

IceDevimon: "The Chosen Children have begun to move and the clown has come during the night. Millenniummon is aware of my alligance to you."

Dagomon: "Piedmon and the false god are of no threat to me or my goals. You are to continue as expected. Deatroy the Children of Hope & Light and do away with the others as you see fit. So long as those two die all will go according to the Apophrica."

IceDevimon: "They are nearing the ocean, what of MarineDevimon?"

Dagomon: "The demon is free to do as it wills. Divine intervention will only occur if those who have heard my call are to be slain by the demon's ilk."

BlkAgumon yawns as he follows Hibiki and the others.

"So a fish fry eh? Not a bad idea..."

*Eve does indeed turn around, and stares at the mountain*

<Maybe we can use that mountain as a point of reference.>

*Kylie and Lunamon run ahead to the front of the group, while Cameron and Biyomon walk leisurely near the middle*

Taiyo isn't walking too fast as snow is cold and she's in flip-flops.

Azuma: "Worth a shot."

Kylie takes a low hanging branch to the face for running around like an idiot.

E"You want me to give you a ride? Then at least one of us won't be walking through snow."

R"I can't believe, of all things, you didn't bring socks."

E"Shut up."

A"Umm...maybe they can ride on your Digimon? It's not that I'm not grateful, but at least I have shoes."

Taiyo: "But you'd still be walking through the snow."

Passing through the trees, they come to a clearing on a cliff, more forest ahead and a large mound of snow on the edge. To their left is the valley which appears to be a frozen stream which is a long way down.

E"At least one of us wouldn't be. We could also take turns. It's probably a good idea to do SOMETHING if we want to avoid frostbite."

R"How are we going to get down from here?"

Taiyo: "Take turns? I don't think I could carry you."

Azuma: "Good question. Either of you have rock climbing equipment in your bags?"

Biyomon:<Some of us could fly down, but I don't think we could lift you.>

R"As a matter of fact, we do not."

E"Well, still, at least one of us shouldn't have to do this."

A gull flies overhead.

Azuma: "Real helpful."

Pulling up the map, continuing through the forest just takes them to the edge of the cliff that'd be overlooking the beach. Switching between screens along the beach there is a way to it without going through the valley, but it'd involve going over the valley and further through the woods.

E"I guess we have to go back to the cave, then. But there has to be a way down into that valley from SOMEWHERE."

"So let's look for it."

OOC: Man when do you guys get on to post? One minute its dead silent and the next, tons of new posts D:

Eve:<We don't have much on a choice.>

Azuma: "We can forgo the valley entirely should we just go around and further into the forest. Going back to the cave won't solve the food problem."

Patamon: "We could start eating each other."

Azuma: "Let's wait awhile on that."

OOC: That is literally the exact opposite of what you described. Learn English.

E"And you're sure that will get us out of the tundra?"

Cameron:<There's no harm in trying it.>

"Well her feet might freeze off by the time we solve the problem" Hibiki points to Taiyo.

"Maybe someone SHOULD carry her." BlkAgumon points to Taiyo too then jerks his claw towards Euryale.

Azuma: "But plenty of harm in not."

Azuma begins to set back into the forest.

E"I think he's right. Come on, Taiyo, let me get you up out of the snow. It can't be helped that no one can carry me."

Taiyo: "Okay..."

Taiyo stands behind Euryale, assuming she's going to be carried on her back. And possibly checking out her ass.
