Old Ones Return

Azuma: "You come in with an army, attack our world and then get upset when we defend ourselves? Whether or not you intended to come here, you made the wrong choice attacking."

Ikkakumon<Does your kind's audacity never cease?! You speak of innocence? Do the machines you use to destroy our villages simply fall out of the sky? Or are they made in your factories? What about the foods, clothing, & whatever else you humans need to sustain your marches? You claim innocents? Show me one among you who has not contributed in the slaying of our kind!>

*He glares down at each of the Digimon in turn.*

Ikkakumon<And you, traitors who aid in our own extinction, are the worst of all!>

Kylie:<We don't know?! And, well, we're all tamers, but we could find some humans who aren't to show you.>

Azuma: "I don't know what's going on in your world, but our partners were brought here for a reason. Whether it's to aid in your worlds destruction or to save it, I don't know, but do-"

Gatomon: "What are those four jerks who are supposed to like Gods doing about what's going in your world? Aren't they supposed to be protecting it rather than sending you losers to deal with it?"

Ikkakumon<I will not tell you anything about the Sover--!>

*His last syllable is interrupted by static. All of the fog begins speeding out to sea, as though it's being sucked up by an invisible vacuum. The wind pressure is strong enough that some of the smaller Digimon are struggling to keep their footing.*

Hypnos Agent<The Digital Anomaly is clearing! Get back, before you're sucked into the Digital World!>

Angemon picks up Gatomon who isn't at all happy about it. Kyubimon still presumably big in Japan, hunkers down in front of the lot of them, digging her claws in.

*Ikkakumon begins to turn translucent as the fog diminishes. As the same begins to happen to Wizardmon & Agumon, they run back towards land, their partners following along closely because, hey, better safe than sorry. All of the other Digimon still in the cloud also become see-through. Ikkakumon has vanished by this point.*

Angemon takes off away from the cloud, Azuma and Hitomi following.

Kyubimon returns to her normal size and takes off, Taiyo following.

*Lekismon swoops down, picks up Kylie, then follows the others*

*As they burst through the edge of the cloud, certain pieces of the Champion Digimon disappear entirely, forcing them to regress back into Rookie form. Other than that, everyone is okay. Once the fog clears for good in a bright flash, one of the Hypnos Agents comes back over to inspect the ruined car.*

<...Looks like we'll be walking back.>

*Lunamon gives Azuma and Patamon a thumbs up*

Lunamon:<Hey, you guys are pretty awesome. I'm Lunamon by the way, and that's my partner Kylie.>

*She points at Kylie*

Lunamon:<And that's Euryale, who's a total baddass, that's Taiyo, she's cool, that's Thiera, she's a pacifist, that's Hitomi, she's quiet.>

*She points at each in turn*

<And these are their partners, Agumon, Renamon, Demidevimon, and Salamon. Everyone's cool, except for Salamon, who can be kind of bitchy.>

*Meanwhile, Cameron and Yokomon sit in a small cafe, Cameron working on an assignment for school*

Yokomon:<(She still hasn't responded.)>

Cameron:<(Kylie said she was going out with some friends, I'm sure everything's fine.)>

*Cameron saves and closes his laptop, putting it in his bag before grabbing Yokomon and exiting the cafe*

With the regression, Salamon and Patamon are a jumbled mess.

Salamon: "Stupid, get off!"

Azuma: "Right. Well, I'm Azuma and that's Patamon."

E"Case in point."

*Euryale speaks in a dry tone, gesturing to Salamon. Meanwhile, the other Hypnos Agent approaches Azuma.*

<You were immensely helpful out there, Kid. How would you like a job?>

Lunamon:<Wait, what about us?! That job better be unpaided too.>

*Kylie picks up Lunamon, who takes Kylie's phone out of her satchel and starts reading messages*

Lunamon:<Oh, Cam's wondering where we are.>

Kylie:<Tell him fine, we're still with friends.>

*Lunamon nods and texts back*

We're fine, still hanging out with friends.

*Cameron checks his phone while walking*

Cameron:<See yokomon?>

Yokomon:<She could be lying!>

Azuma: "Does it pay?"

Patamon: "Do it involve putting up with this bad dog?"

Salamon growls.

*Lunamon smiles and jumps out of Kylie's arms*
