Anyway, I'd say the most important amendment is the 14th. The one that binds the states to Federal law.

I was referring specifically to this problem. The reason it persists is a combination of the following:

1. The GOP is totally accepting bribes.
2. It is handwaved under "freedom of religion."
3. Certain states have decreed that you can't legislate "faith-based institutions."
4. The goddamn right keeps blocking any attempt to make laws regarding these places.
